FAQ’s
What types of vessels are your engine control systems designed for?
Our systems are engineered for commercial marine vessels including tugs, barges, offshore service vessels, ferries, fishing boats, and workboats. We provide both electric and pneumatic solutions that can be tailored to your specific propulsion setup.
Are your control systems compatible with older engines and gearboxes?
Yes. Our systems are designed to integrate with a wide variety of engines and gear types, including air governors, CAT/PWM frequency inputs, 4-20mA, 1-5VDC, and more. We also offer retrofit services to modernize outdated control components.
What makes your stainless steel control heads better than plastic alternatives?
Our stainless steel control heads offer superior durability, corrosion resistance, and longevity—especially in harsh saltwater environments. They’re built to withstand continuous use and eliminate the cracking and wear often seen in plastic units.
Do your systems require a computer for diagnostics?
No. Our main control boards are equipped with LED indicators that provide instant operational feedback and troubleshooting cues—no external computer is required.
Can your systems control more than just engines?
Absolutely. In addition to engine propulsion systems, we also offer control solutions for bow thrusters, winches, hydraulic gear, and other onboard equipment located in the wheelhouse, engine room, or deck.
What parts do you carry or manufacture?
We offer a full line of marine control system components, including:
- Stainless steel electric control heads
- Throttle interlock systems
- Pneumatic panels (Mark 3, Mark 5, Mark 7)
- Aluminum Schrader-style cartridge replacements
- Main boards with LED indicators
- Gear lockouts, station isolators, and more
How can I request a quote or get help choosing a system?
You can contact us directly by phone or email. Let us know your engine model, gear type, and any current system specs, and we’ll provide guidance on the best solution for your vessel.
